At Clinical Pediatric Associates of North Texas, our team consists of experienced, compassionate pediatricians and friendly, nurturing staff members who take pride in giving our young patients the personalized pediatric care that they deserve.

Our staff progressively works to provide a positive environment to help parents offer their children the chance to obtain their full physical, emotional and intellectual potential.

Each of our pediatricians are highly educated professionals who have undergone rigorous academic and clinical training in pediatrics and are all Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. We maintain a tremendous level of expertise through continuing education in order to provide the most up-to-date care for the young patients we are privileged to serve.

Elizabeth S. Dickey, MD, PhD, FAAP


Dr. Elizabeth S. Dickey founded Clinical Pediatric Associates of Irving and Las Colinas, P.A. in 1990. Dr. Dickey received a Ph.D. in Child Growth and Development from the University of Texas. She taught at Purdue University as an Assistant Professor for three years before deciding to return to school to obtain her medical degree. After receiving her degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and graduating with Highest Distinction, she completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. In 1985 she began practicing at Gilbert Medical and Surgical Associates and became board certified in 1988. After Gilbert Medical and Surgical Associates disbanded in 1990, Dr. Dickey formed Clinical Pediatric Associates of Irving and Las Colinas, P.A.

Her experience gives her a vast knowledge of child services and resources throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Dr. Dickey's areas of specialty include newborn illnesses, asthma, child development and behavior. As a mother of two boys, she has firsthand knowledge of the rigors of parenting.

 

Trung Tran, MD, FAAP


Dr. Trung Tran received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Texas. Dr. Tran completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. He began his practice and became board certified in 1996. Dr. Tran became a shareholder of Clinical Pediatric Associates of Irving and Las Colinas, P.A. in 1997.

Dr Tran and his wife, Mimi, are empty nesters now.  They are actively involved in many activities throughout the community, including the Me Squared Cancer Foundation that was founded by Mimi.  In their spare time, they love trying out new restaurants with their son and his wife, who are both local dentists.  They visit their daughter in Houston when they can as she's going through the rigors of pediatric residency training.  When he has time, Dr. Tran enjoys playing golf/tennis/pickleball, or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or skiing in the Rockies or taking photos of nature.  Dr. Tran's special interest is in comprehensive care of well and sick children from birth through adolescence. He is also fluent in Vietnamese.

 
 
 

Vi H. Pham, MD


Dr. Vi Hung Pham received his undergraduate B.S degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2021. While in medical school, Dr. Pham was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was awarded the Kurt Ian Wey, M.D, Senior Pediatric Award and Scholarship, selected by his pediatric mentors for his commitment to the care of children. He then completed his pediatric residency training at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, during which he spear-headed the development of an early childhood literacy curriculum for pediatric trainees. He joined Clinical Pediatric Associates of North Texas as a primary care pediatrician in 2024.

As a native resident of DFW, Dr. Pham is honored and excited to serve the patients and families of Clinical Pediatric Associates of North Texas. He enjoys all aspects of pediatric primary care, including preventative and well-child care, acute care, and behavioral and mental health. When he is out of the office, Dr. Pham enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Quynh, and their fur-baby Hoshi.

 

 
 
 
 

Mary Anne Askari-Brown, MD, FAAP


Dr. Mary Askari-Brown retired from Clinical Pediatric Associates on August 29, 2024. 

Dr. Mary Askari-Brown received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston after graduating with High Honors from North Texas State University. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas where she received an award for her outstanding care of children hospitalized in the intensive care unit.

Dr. Askari-Brown became board certified in 1991 and joined Clinical Pediatric Associates of Irving and Las Colinas, P.A. She became a shareholder in 1992. Dr. Brown's experience as a mother to two boys adds to her formal training as a pediatrician. Her special interests include the care of well and sick newborns, child development and adolescents.
